“Big Apple” Solo Jazz 2 days x 3 hours each day

Learn an iconic solo jazz routine

The Big Apple is part of the three main iconic solo jazz routines together with the Shim Sham and Tranky Doo. It started as an improvisation call and response circle dance and then was made into a routine by Frankie Manning in the late 1930s. It’s a rather long and challenging routine but it is also really fun and full of group interaction and play.

Anyone is welcome. No experience is needed. However, the routine is quite advanced, so we expect you to commit ;) We don't expect you to master it in 6 hours. 

The Big Apple is regularly danced at our social dance events in Aarhus and we would like to get more people joining us. Could it be you?

The routine will be taught over 2 sessions.

For both days: 200DKK

Bring some comfortable shoes, an extra t-shirt and a water bottle.
